Standard containers cover around 85 percent of all containers worldwide and are considered the "workhorses" among containers. They can be used to store and transport almost all types of goods at low cost. CHS always stocks this type of container in sufficient quantities – not only in the seaports, but also in the hinterland and at many locations worldwide. Buying back these containers at various ports is also not a problem. The containers are available in the following qualities:
Storage container without a valid CSC (no longer suitable for sea transport)
Sea container used, with valid CSC
Sea container (new) with valid CSC
Storage containers without a valid CSC badge:
In this case it is a used sea container which has been used for sea transport for the last 15-20 years. Due to constant contact with seawater and repeated use as packaging, signs of use (dents) and rust are unavoidable. The container type also had to go through a lot! Unfortunately, the floor assembly was severely damaged by the last user, so repairing it in a CSC-compatible container is no longer economical in this case. However, the container is far from obsolete and can still be used as a tool store in the garden, as a garage for the tractor or as a storage container on the company premises Remove ownership notices. Since the container was made of robust Corten Steel, you can enjoy it for several years to come. Except for the usual formation of condensation, we guarantee the delivery of a wind/waterproof container. But please note that the container must be unloaded before any new placement. The MGW (maximum gross weight) is 0 KG!

FLAT/
PLATFORM
Flats consist of a heavy-duty floor structure with a steel frame, a softwood floor and either two fixed or collapsible end walls. The end walls are stable enough to allow cargo-securing equipment to be attached as well as several flats to be stacked on top of each other. Numerous lashing rings for securing the cargo are installed in the side rails, corner posts and floor. Flats can also be equipped with stanchions for transporting certain cargoes.
OPEN TOP/HARD TOP CONTAINERS
The roof of an open-top container consists of removable bows and a removable tarp. A hard-top container has a removable steel roof. The top door rail swings out on both models. These design features make loading and unloading the container significantly easier. When the roof is open and the top door rail is swung out, the container can easily be loaded or unloaded from above or through the doors using a crane or trolley. Please note that the roof bows on an open-top container not only support the tarp, but also increase the stability of the container. For this reason, flats are more suitable for high cargoes.
BULK CONTAINERS
Bulk containers are equipped with three filling openings in the roof for pouring goods in. The openings are approximately 455 mm (1 3/4') in diameter. The distance between the openings (centre to centre) is 1.83 m (6'). The two discharge openings located in the door side are equipped with short hoses on some containers. These are used to direct the bulk material. Alternatively, the doors can be fitted with two discharge flaps, which can be used to empty the container.
